Our umpires are more than just whistle blowers. They’re on the court to keep the game fair and make sure everyone gets to play netball in a friendly, safe and fun way.
Impalas strives to develop umpires from the 13’s age group and look for ways to progress these young umpires through the award levels in equitable way that will build confidence and ability.
RED AWARDRun by Impalas Netball club for players who are interested in the 13’s age group. Consists of a half day theory program prior to the start of the season. Participants are required to complete the “Rules of the Game” theory examination online. | BLUE AWARDUmpiring approximately four games at a Gala Day or as arranged by Club. A mentor is assigned to provide support and feedback. | WHITE BADGEUmpiring of a minimum of four low grade competition games. A mentor is assigned to provide support and feedback. |

Impalas Umpires receive payment upon achieving their White Award. Payments range from $10-$15 per game and are electronically paid to umpires mid-way through and at the end of the season.
